Bad breath would be a put-off for 85 percent of adults looking for a new partner, according to a recent survey in the UK.
Single Brits have deemed it a bigger embarrassment than bad jokes, terrible dress sense, lateness and even poor manners.
The findings also show that 80 percent would not go on a second date with someone if they had bad breath on the first.
Bad breath can be caused by several factors. These include eating strong-smelling or spicy foods such as garlic or tuna, and drinking coffee and red wine.
Poor oral hygiene is the main cause of bad breath. Not brushing your teeth properly, or cleaning in between your teeth regularly with an interdental brush, may lead to bad breath.
